To mark our one-year anniversary, we set out to launch a broadcasting platform to capture and share stories across climate, design, culture, and innovation. The challenge was to build a brand that could extend beyond BEAM while still remaining deeply rooted in our ecosystem.
We developed Symbiotica as a sub-brand and immersive platform, beginning with a newsletter and forthcoming website. Its visual identity draws from classic science communication—’80s Nat Geo documentaries, biology diagrams, and environmental maps—layered with digital futurism to evoke a cinematic, forward-looking space for climate design.
The Symbiotica newsletter is now live, with a podcast launching next year alongside the full platform. Featuring conversations across disciplines, it is designed to grow into its own research studio, expanding BEAM’s reach while amplifying stories and collaborations at the intersection of climate, design, and innovation.
